Isabelle Sanschagrin 

 Isabelle Sanschagrin is a 15-year-old from Gaspésie. She is a studious,Profil féminin authentic, and very diplomatic student. She has great respect for nature and humanity. Isabelle is a young girl with a noble heart and a charitable soul, who manages to brighten the heart of the most destitute of all old men, up to the noblest of queens, and to inspire the most hyperactive of all children, to the most neurotic of arrogant fools she encounters daily. Unfortunately, Isabelle faces a tragic fate and dies at the very beginning of the trilogy.

 

Déreck Dumondvill

Déreck Dumondvill is a Gaspésien in his early twenties who moves to the Quebec City region. He is an extroverted student studying sports at Université Laval. He loves parties, going to bars, and seducing the women he meets. Even though he has all the characteristics of a womanizer, he is a perpetual romantic. Déreck is a loyal and attentive young adult who sometimes lets his arrogant side, tinged with humor, sarcasm, or foolishness, escape, bringing his inner child back to life. In a group, Déreck often stands out, and his popularity with women is very high. Déreck is a young seducer who cuts a fine figure. The sports he likes, in order of preference, are: hockey, boxing, and soccer.

 ***His interest in hockey is greatly featured in Volume 2.

 

Sunsya Zamie 

Profil fémininSunsya Zamie is an indecisive young woman in her early twenties, originally from Haiti. At 11 months old, she was welcomed by a young Quebecois couple who couldn't have children and resorted to adoption to become parents, despite being very preoccupied with their jobs. Due to this lack of affection and attention, Sunsya suffers greatly from others' judgment. Even though she is very talented at showcasing her skills on a theatrical stage, she has a rather introverted personality. Her new passion is dance, Kizomba more specifically. Thanks to her aunt, Jérémie Davis's mother, who supposedly raised and educated her throughout her childhood and for whom Sunsya has deep admiration today, Sunsya is a girl of integrity, authenticity, and full of humility.

 

Marie-Ange Sanschagrin

Profil fémininMarie-Ange, in her early forties, is of Latin origin and teaches at Bonaventure elementary school. She is a mother of two children. The great love of her life is Christopher Dumondvill, with whom she is on good terms, but has been separated for about ten years. Marie-Ange holds a heavy secret that has enormous repercussions in her life. Despite everything, she is a loyal, honest, and trustworthy woman.

 

Christopher Dumondvill 

Christopher Dumondvill is an inspiring character who aspired to become a clergyman, but instead pursued medical studies, a profession he has practiced for about ten years in the maternity department. He is an admirable, humble, loyal man, brimming with all sorts of talents. He is a very persuasive character who knows very well how to assert his points and opinions. Even though he has a sound heart and a serene mind, he has a strict and authoritarian temperament. He is the father of Déreck-Antoine Dumondvill and ÉlizaAnn Dumondvill; he is an excellent role model and the main source of inspiration for his son. He loves weight training and playing many sports with Déreck.

 

Ariane Décker

Ariane Décker is a superficial, eccentric barmaid. This girl is a venomous gossip, arrogant, pretentious, and unfaithful. Physically, she is every man's fantasy. She gets noticed wherever she goes, by both men and women, most often negatively. She has a very colorful personality and an explosive temper. She's a troublemaker; wherever the redhead is, trouble is guaranteed. Ariane's values and ambitions boil down to satisfying her huge ego, excessively spending on designer clothes or useless luxury gadgets, and sleeping with the men she meets.

 

Jérémie Davis 

Jérémie Davis, in his twenties, is an ambitious future artist agent who is about to launch his company, but gets stabbed in the back by Ariane Décker, an eccentric barmaid with whom he had a relationship for almost a year and who cheated on him under his own roof. Despite everything, Jérémie is very seductive and has a protective temperament towards those he holds dear, particularly Sunsya Zamie, his adorable adoptive cousin whom he has always considered his little sister.

 

Nicolas Wasyer 

Nicolas Wasyer, in his twenties, is the perfect cliché of a muscular guy with a handsome athletic body. In love, Nicolas is rather jealous, possessive, and has a combative temperament. He is perpetually unfaithful. He has a strong personality, rather prone to anger, arrogance, and pretentiousness. In a group, Nicolas often stands out, and his popularity with women is very high. Nicolas is a charming young man who cuts a fine figure. The sports he likes, in order of preference, are: football, hockey, boxing, and soccer.

Ian White  

Ian White, in his twenties, is Isabelle Sanschagrin's secret childhood love and has been Déreck-Antoine Dumondvill's best friend since kindergarten. He is an excellent hockey player. Ian is a young man gifted at finding the right words and cheering everyone up in any situation. He is very diplomatic, empathetic, and eloquent; he is a loyal friend.

 

Michaël Beaudoin 

Michaël Beaudoin, nicknamed Mike, is an excellent dance teacher in his early twenties, champion of several Kizomba and Bachata dance galas with his girlfriend/partner, Kerry Sompthouse. His parents died in a car accident. In high school, he was taken hostage in the dance studio when a shooting broke out. His main passions, in order of preference, are: dance, music, and performing arts.

 

Kerry Sompthouse  

Profil fémininKerry Sompthouse is an excellent dance teacher in her early twenties, champion of several Kizomba and Bachata dance galas with her boyfriend/partner, Michaël Beaudoin, nicknamed Mike. Like Mike, her parents died in a car accident. In high school, she was taken hostage in the dance studio when a shooting broke out. Her main passions, in order of preference, are: dance, music, and performing arts.

 

Jocas James  

Jocas James, in his twenties, lacks a lot of self-confidence; he doesn't think he's very attractive, but not very ugly either. He's a normal guy, looking for his own identity and discovering new activities to integrate into his daily life. Jocas has a consuming passion for board games and strategy games, especially chess, and he's not very good at human relationships. He has an aspect of his personality that repels women and annoys men. Sometimes he thinks he's the actor John Travolta in Grease, while other times he likes to be pitied. He has the same personality as the abandoned puppy that girls don't even dare to put in the "friend zone," and he has a lot of repressed resentment. Jocas James is a very understated character in Volume 1. He is featured a bit more prominently in Volume 2 and is very present from Volume 3 onwards.

 

Sophie Djowak 

Profil fémininSophie Djowak is Déreck-Antoine Dumondvill's first great childhood love. She rejected him countless times during their final years of high school before Déreck could win her heart. She is a studious, introverted student with a very developed musical side. It is implicitly thanks to her that Déreck avoids falling into the hell of drugs and street gangs and returns to the right path at the end of his high school years.

 

Bob

Bob is the good Samaritan who helps Déreck get back on his feet during his first days in Quebec.

 

Richard Godet 

Richard Godet is undoubtedly the most muscular guy of all time. He is the hockey coach for the Audacieux du Nord, the local team that Déreck Dumondvill and Nicolas Wasyer play for.

 

Mégane Doucet 

Profil fémininMégane Doucet is the girlfriend of one of the hockey players from Déreck Dumondvill and Nicolas Wasyer's team, Les Audacieux du Nord.

 

ÉlizaAnn Dumondvill (from Volume 2)

ÉlizaAnn Dumondvill is Déreck-Antoine Dumondvill's older sister who always wanted a younger sister. Instead, she inherited a mischievous, curious little brother who always rummaged through her things when he was very young. ÉlizaAnn follows in her father Doctor Dumondvill's footsteps. She started practicing medicine for the first time at the age of 5. From then on, ÉlizaAnn was about to perform a medical surgery on Déreck to cut off his penis with kitchen scissors while he was asleep. She wished her mischievous little brother would become a kind and gentle little sister with one less penis...

 

Annabelle Borduas (from Volume 1)

Profil fémininAnnabelle is a waitress and manager at the small bistro below Ariane Décker's apartment. She embraces her charming and seductive side, which is very popular with male customers and makes other women jealous.

 

Irène Koujoula (from Volume 2)

Irène is Christopher Dumondvill's second great love. She has no children and is kind, friendly, and warm with Déreck and ÉlizaAnn.

 

Jean-Pier Ménard (from Volume 2)

Jean-Pier Ménard is the commentator of the podcast "Mon Hockey Ma Passion" broadcasting live from the Audacieux du Nord arena.

 

Pierre Laporte (from Volume 2)

Monsieur Pierre Laporte is a poor old man suffering from a slight intellectual disability and living alone with his dog, Princesse. Monsieur Pierre lives in the same neighborhood as Sunsya Zamie.

 

Antoine Dumondvill (from Volume 4)

Antoine Dumondvill is Christopher Dumondvill's brother.

 

 

Jared Wirdawn (from Volume 4)

Jared is Isabelle Sanschagrin's father.

 

 

Aunt Gisèle (from Volume 5)

Jackson Miville (from Volume 5)

Jackson is Déreck-Antoine Dumondvill's best friend and Mériza Nolet's boyfriend. He is the singer of their band and the quarterback of their high school football team in New-Richmond.

 

Mériza Nolet (from Volume 5)

Thomas is a classmate of Déreck and company. He is the group's prankster. He has a humorous profile and a unifying side that everyone appreciates.

 

Ryan Mercier (from Volume 5)

Ryan is a classmate of Déreck and company. He is the dapper, charming young man who attracts girls without even knowing it due to his great shyness.

 

Madison Stanley (from Volume 5)

Grégoire Durocher is a sports teacher at New-Richmond High School. He is appreciated by the students and knows how to manage a group of turbulent teenagers. Grégoire is married to Lyzabelle Lavalée, who teaches mathematics at the same school.

 

Roger Plante (from Volume 5)

Roger Plante is an English teacher at New-Richmond High School. He is a man close to retirement who can no longer stand students; he no longer enjoys his job and is a real pain in the neck.

 

Adrien Djowak (from Volume 5)

Adrien is Sophie Djowak's father and the municipal mayor of New-Richmond. Adrien advocates for education, altruistic behavior, and is very strict with his two children, especially with Sophie Djowak.

 

Nikita Djowak (from Volume 5)

Profil fémininNikita is Sophie Djowak's mother and Adrien Djowak's wife, the municipal mayor of New-Richmond. She is a stay-at-home mom and is involved in all academic, sports, and recreational activities of their two children.
